Wood Poles & Pilings

K&P Home Builders has the knowledge, expertise and experience to build homes with wood poles and pilings to meet Local, State and Federal requirements.  We use pressure treated wood poles and piling  for longer life span of the materials.  It is also stronger and suffers less warping than dimensional timbers.  Our construction process also includes the use of dimensional timber for a varitey of applications as specified by architects or specifiers.  Pilings are available in a myriad of lengths up to 52 feet long!  Poles are defined by their particular structural installation.  If the pole is set with the butt (large end) in the ground, such as a utility pole or barn pole, it is referred to as a pole.  Pilings are also defined by the installation.  Pilings are driven into the ground with the tip (small end) first.

CMU Block Construction

A CMU masonry unit, also known as a cinder block, breeze block or some other term, is a standard-sized rectangular block used in building construction for various construction applications.  CMUs provide very durable structural and non-structural partitiions.  As a common building material, concrete blocks offer several attractive characteristics to designers and builders.

Elevated, Piling & Stilt Homes

Elevated homes are primarily designed for homes located in flood zones.  These types of homes typically utilize pilings, piers, stilts or CMU block walls to raise the home off grade.  And, beyond flood protection, elevated homes offer usuable space underneath the home fo parking and storage and also enhances views of water whether it be a beach, river or stream.

Beachfront & Beach Homes

Throughout the Florida Panhandle we have for years worked with architects, designers, specifiers, contractors, homeowners, government code and regulation personnel on building quality homes that meet Local, State and Federal Code requirements.  Beach homes require expert knowledge in the construction process from design, permitting to construction from start-to-finish so every detail is completed with perfection to meet standards of the government codes to the standards of the homeowner.

The markets we serve include beach homes, streams and river homes, inland homes, farms and ranches, marine and shoreline, theme parks, industrial projects, commercial and public properties, and of course all residential properties.
